WEST CHESTER, PA — Christmas always comes early in West Chester! The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is opening applications for participants and sponsors of the 2025 West Chester Christmas Parade, which will be held Friday, December 5th with 6abc’s Adam Joseph and Kathy Romano returning as emcees. The region’s flagship hometown Christmas parade kicks off a month full of free holiday festivities during Chester County Hospital Lights Up Holiday Weekends in West Chester.
“This year we’re excited to announce a brand new – bigger and even better! – Christmas tree overlooking the heart of the parade route, along with the opportunity for businesses to light up an entire block of historic, downtown West Chester from November through January,” said Katie Walker, President of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce.
Voted 2025 Best of the Main Line & Western Suburbs and “Best Family-Friendly Event” by readers of Main Line Today, the West Chester Christmas Parade is title sponsored by Chester County Hospital and attracts approximately 20,000 attendees of all ages each year.
“The West Chester Christmas Parade is a wonderful event that truly brings the community together to kick off the holiday season! Looking forward to this year’s festivities and the continuation of what has become a West Chester tradition,” said Nicole Scimone, Vice President of West Chester Borough Council.
Parade night starts December 5, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. with the official lighting of West Chester’s stunning 28-foot-tall Christmas tree, which rises four feet taller than ever on the lawn of the Historic Chester County Courthouse with live musical performances. The Majestic Mountain Pine Frame Style Christmas Tree is adorned with 150 individual branches and 16,000 white LED lights. The purchase of the new tree was made possible through the generosity of donors Adam Loew and Eli Kahn, West Pharmaceutical Services and the Barry Family. In addition, Lasko Products LLC will return again this year as the sponsor of the tree and lighting ceremony. The holiday parade follows at 7 p.m. under the twinkling lights of professionally decorated borough blocks sponsored by local businesses.
“This marks our fifth consecutive year as title sponsor of this beloved community tradition, and we’re proud to see how it continues to grow and bring our neighbors together,” said Karen Pinsky, MD, CEO of Chester County Hospital. “We look forward to partnering with local artists, businesses and families to create another unforgettable holiday celebration that showcases the heart and spirit of West Chester.”
Businesses and organizations are invited to sponsor decorated borough blocks with branded signage from November through January starting at $2,500 to help support the Chamber’s goal to draw visitors to West Chester’s more than 75 restaurants and 65 boutiques during Chester County Hospital Lights Up Holiday Weekends in West Chester.
