ATGLEN, PA — The Parkesburg Borough Police Department announced that beginning September 1, 2025, officers will step up enforcement of parking regulations in Atglen Borough under the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code, Title 75, Section 3353, Prohibitions in Specified Places.
Residents are urged to avoid common violations, including:
- Parking on sidewalks or crosswalks
- Parking within 30 feet of a posted stop sign
- Parking against the flow of traffic
- Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant
- Blocking private driveways, business entrances, or parking lot access
In addition, the department will strictly enforce laws regarding abandoned vehicles. Any car parked on a public street must display a valid registration, a current inspection sticker, and an unobstructed vehicle identification number (VIN). Vehicles failing to meet these requirements may be tagged as abandoned and removed following formal notice to the owner.
