HARRISBURG, PA — Five people face felony drug trafficking charges following a long-term investigation into an alleged criminal network distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine and firearms across four Pennsylvania counties, according to Attorney General Dave Sunday.
The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General filed charges this week against Marcus A. Denson, Jovar Hairston, Larry Minnifield, Alisha Massa and Gregory Johnson in connection with alleged drug trafficking operations in Dauphin, Blair, Cumberland and Clinton counties.
Investigators allege that the five defendants participated in the distribution of fentanyl, methamphetamine and other controlled substances.
The investigation, conducted with Pennsylvania State Police and Dauphin County law enforcement agencies, included surveillance of numerous suspected drug transactions involving the defendants.
Authorities also seized six firearms during the investigation, according to the Attorney General’s Office.
Denson faces additional charges involving alleged firearms trafficking, including at least one privately manufactured firearm commonly known as a ghost gun.
Prosecutors allege that Denson was prohibited from possessing firearms because of a prior felony conviction.
Massa and Johnson were arrested Wednesday, Oct. 21. Authorities were still seeking Denson, Hairston and Minnifield when the charges were announced.
All five defendants face felony drug trafficking and related offenses.
The cases will be prosecuted by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Drug Strike Force Section.
All suspects, arrestees, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
