NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — SupplyOne Inc. has acquired Illinois-based Packaging Design Corporation, expanding its corrugated packaging manufacturing capabilities and Chicago-area operations in its 49th acquisition as the Pennsylvania company continues consolidating businesses in the North American packaging industry.
The transaction marks SupplyOne’s second acquisition in the Chicago market, following its purchase of Wertheimer Box at the end of 2025. The latest deal adds manufacturing capacity and expertise in branded packaging and point-of-purchase displays.
Packaging Design Corporation, headquartered in Burr Ridge, Illinois, was founded in 1968 and manufactures custom corrugated packaging for customers in the Chicago area, throughout the Midwest and nationally.
The company’s operations include structural packaging design and in-house manufacturing, with products serving e-commerce, retail, industrial and specialty packaging markets.
Scott Jones, the company’s owner, will remain in charge of Packaging Design Corporation following the acquisition, preserving management continuity as the business becomes part of SupplyOne.
SupplyOne President and Chief Executive Officer Todd Renehan identified the Chicago market and the acquired company’s specialized manufacturing capabilities as central to the transaction.
“The addition of Packaging Design Corporation further strengthens our presence in the important Chicago area while adding additional capabilities in branded packaging and point-of-purchase displays,” Renehan said.
The acquisition extends SupplyOne’s regional manufacturing and distribution network while broadening the packaging products and services available to its customers.
For Packaging Design Corporation, the transaction provides access to SupplyOne’s broader resources while maintaining its existing leadership.
Jones said the combination would allow the company to expand the capabilities available to its customers.
The deal continues SupplyOne’s acquisition-driven expansion in the packaging sector, with the purchase of Packaging Design Corporation following its entry into the Chicago market through Wertheimer Box.
