EAST BRADFORD TWP, PA — East Bradford Township supervisors adopted a package of code amendments Oct. 1 that changes local requirements governing solicitation, sidewalks, stormwater infrastructure, parking and accessory structures.
Ordinance 06-2026 amends five chapters of the township code: Peddling and Soliciting, Sidewalk Maintenance, Stormwater Management, Vehicles and Traffic, and Zoning.
The changes expand application requirements for solicitation licenses, require maintenance of curbs adjoining existing sidewalks and add requirements for stormwater-conveyance systems.
The ordinance also prohibits overnight parking in township parks and open spaces and establishes additional zoning regulations for accessory structures.
Board Chair Jeff Huckabee moved to adopt the ordinance after opening a public hearing. Supervisor Debbie Maynard seconded the motion. The measure passed without opposition or board discussion, and the hearing closed one minute later.
The township agenda had been posted Sept. 28. The newly released meeting minutes confirm that the ordinance was enacted rather than remaining a pending proposal.
Supervisors separately authorized the advertisement of proposed amendments to the township’s private special-event regulations. The township solicitor recommended those changes in response to litigation involving other jurisdictions, according to the minutes.
That action only authorized publication of the proposed special-event rules. The board did not adopt those amendments at the Oct. 1 meeting.
