MEDIA, PA — Drivers in Media Borough should prepare for months of weekday disruptions beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6, when utility construction closes a section of Route 252 (Providence Road) and sends traffic onto a posted detour.

Route 252 will be closed to through traffic during the scheduled work hours, although local access will be maintained. The restrictions are weather dependent.
Drivers will be detoured using Kirk Lane, Orange Street, and Baltimore Avenue before returning to their regular route.
Motorists traveling through Media should plan extra time, particularly near the construction zone and along the detour. Backups and delays may occur as displaced Route 252 traffic moves onto surrounding streets.
The work is being performed by Aqua Pennsylvania. Drivers should remain alert for construction crews, changing traffic patterns and signs directing motorists around the closure.
