Fidem Financial Names Yasmine Anavi Chief Risk Officer

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Fidem Financial has appointed Yasmine Anavi as chief risk officer to oversee credit risk strategy as the firm expands its credit card asset management platform.

Anavi will join the executive leadership team and report to President and Chief Executive Officer Sanji Gunawardena, with responsibility for scaling the company’s risk management framework across its growing portfolio.

Fidem manages more than $17 billion in acquired credit card receivables and partners with banks, investors, and brands to launch and manage credit card programs.

“Yasmine’s appointment reflects the continued growth of our platform and our commitment to scaling with discipline,” Gunawardena said, citing her experience in managing complex credit portfolios.

Anavi brings more than 30 years of experience in consumer and small business credit, including senior roles at Barclays and Citigroup, where she oversaw risk for credit card and loan portfolios.

Earlier in her career, she held positions at Wells Fargo and American Express, focusing on underwriting, portfolio performance, and risk strategy.

Anavi holds a master of business administration in finance from New York University.
