NEWTOWN, PA — Mid Penn Bank strengthened its commercial lending team in the greater Philadelphia market with the addition of Andrew McGinnis as vice president and commercial loan officer, the bank announced.
McGinnis, who will be based in the bank’s Newtown office, is tasked with building and managing commercial lending relationships across the region, reporting to First Vice President and Commercial Loan Manager Kevin Petzold.
The hire reflects the bank’s continued push to grow its footprint and deepen client relationships in southeastern Pennsylvania, a key market for expansion.
McGinnis brings a background in commercial and industrial lending, most recently serving as a relationship manager and vice president at Firstrust Bank, where he managed a portfolio of commercial and investment real estate clients throughout the Philadelphia area. His prior experience also includes roles as a portfolio manager and banking officer, along with earlier credit-focused positions at Penn Community Bank and First Priority Bank.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from West Chester University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a financial services concentration from Penn State Abington.
Mid Penn Bank, headquartered in Millersburg, operates 62 retail locations across Pennsylvania and central and southern New Jersey, with approximately $7 billion in total assets. The bank provides a range of financial products and services to individuals and businesses.
The addition of McGinnis is expected to support the bank’s ongoing commercial growth strategy in the Philadelphia region.
