EXTON, PA — A packed room of business leaders and community partners gathered for the Chester County United Way Corporate Sponsor Reception, where Pro Football Hall of Fame coach Dick Vermeil headlined an evening that celebrated partnerships and helped build momentum for the organization’s upcoming Golf Classic.

Held Tuesday, March 31 at Brumbaugh Wealth Management in Eagleview Corporate Center, the reception brought together sponsors supporting the 2026 Chester County United Way Golf Classic. The event created an upbeat and engaging atmosphere, with attendees networking over food and drinks while connecting with one of the region’s most respected sports figures.

During the 75-minute reception, guests had the opportunity to meet Vermeil, whose career includes leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance, winning Super Bowl XXXIV with the St. Louis Rams, and guiding the Kansas City Chiefs to a division title. His presence added energy to the evening as sponsors and community leaders gathered around a shared mission of strengthening Chester County.

“Having Coach Vermeil join us for this special reception was an incredible opportunity for our sponsors and supporters,” said Christina Wagoner, senior vice president of financial development at Chester County United Way. “His leadership, dedication to community service, and strong connection to the Philadelphia region made him the perfect guest to help us kick off this year’s Golf Classic.”

The reception served as a key kickoff event for the annual Golf Classic, which raises funds to support United Way initiatives focused on financial stability, youth opportunity, and community impact.

“We were honored to help bring a leader like Coach Vermeil to this event,” said Justin Brown, CEO of JB Sports Ventures. “Coach Vermeil represents the very best of leadership, teamwork, and community engagement. It was exciting to connect his story and legacy with an event that brought together business leaders committed to making a difference in Chester County.”

Thank You to Sponsors and Organizers

Organizers credited the success of the evening to Chester County United Way, event partners including JB Sports Ventures, and the corporate sponsors whose continued support drives the organization’s mission. Appreciation was also extended to Brumbaugh Wealth Management for hosting the reception and to the many community partners who attended.

With strong sponsor engagement and a successful kickoff event, Chester County United Way will look ahead to the 2026 Golf Classic on April 27 at Penn Oaks Golf Club, where funds raised will continue to support programs across the county.
