iPipeline Launches AI-Driven Digital Platform for Insurers

iPipeline

WAYNE, PA — iPipeline announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence-focused digital platform for life insurance, annuities and wealth products, beginning with the rollout of its iGO Evolve electronic application module.

The company said the platform is designed to help insurance carriers and distribution partners bring products to market more quickly and streamline digital sales and underwriting processes.

iGO Evolve, the first module on the platform, is an updated version of iPipeline’s life insurance e-application solution. It is powered by the company’s AI foundation, known as CHARLi, which connects systems across its product ecosystem.

According to iPipeline, the platform uses configurable workflows, low-code tools and integration-ready architecture intended to reduce the need for custom development and simplify system integration.

The company said its SmartSell capability, now hosted on the platform, allows agents to interact with underwriting systems in real time, including assessing health classifications, presenting coverage options, receiving automated underwriting decisions, collecting payment and binding policies within a single workflow.

Pat O’Donnell, chief executive officer of iPipeline, said the platform is designed to improve speed and operational efficiency for insurers and distributors.

“This platform is designed to help carriers and distribution partners move faster, reduce operational overhead, and deliver better customer experiences,” O’Donnell said.

Katie Kahl, chief product officer at iPipeline, said customers sought a system that integrates more easily and reduces reliance on custom development.

“The AI-first digital platform is built to do just that through its API-enabled foundation, new user interface, configurable workflows, and transformed e-App experience,” Kahl said.

The company said future updates to the platform will include an AI assistant intended to compare products, autofill applications with customer data and validate required forms prior to submission.
