KENNETT SQUARE, PA — As winter snow melts away and milder temperatures return, Longwood Gardens is offering a glowing reason to step outside after sunset.

Garden Glow, a luminous nighttime experience, is transforming the Gardens into a shimmering landscape of light, art, and atmosphere. Now running Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings through March 8, the after-hours event invites guests to see familiar spaces in an entirely new way.

Inside, illuminated bonsai trees glow under blacklight, casting dramatic silhouettes that highlight their intricate shapes. In the Conservatory, award-winning floral designer Jennifer Reed has created a 100-foot suspended dreamscape — an immersive installation that blends botanical elements with sweeping visual design overhead.

Outdoors, visitors can experience SPARK by Dutch artist Daan Roosegaarde of Studio Roosegaarde. Thousands of biodegradable sparks float upward into the night sky, creating a fleeting, magical display that feels part art installation, part celebration of nature.

Throughout the evening, guests can explore the illuminated Conservatories and extend their visit with dinner at 1906, Longwood’s signature restaurant, which offers special evening reservations during Garden Glow weekends.

For families across Chester County and beyond, Garden Glow provides a unique winter outing — one that blends horticulture, art, and a bit of nighttime wonder.
