SHARON HILL, PA — A routine traffic stop in Delaware County led to the arrest of a Philadelphia man after police said the vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen out of state, authorities announced.
According to the Sharon Hill Borough Police Department, officers from the Patrol Division stopped a sedan on Friday, January 2, 2026, in the area of Chester Pike and Sharon Avenue. The driver, identified as 28-year-old Victor Borralles-Gordillo of Philadelphia, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Police allege that during the course of the stop, officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen in New Jersey. Based on that finding, Borralles-Gordillo was taken into custody and later charged with alleged receiving stolen property and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Following the arrest, Borralles-Gordillo was transferred to the George Hill Correctional Facility after failing to post bail, police said.
Authorities emphasized that the charges are allegations and that Borralles-Gordillo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
