CHADDS FORD, PA — A new phase of safety improvements on Creek Road will bring daytime lane closures for more than two weeks as PennDOT moves ahead with tree clearing and boardwalk construction in Chadds Ford Township.

Beginning Monday, December 8, through Wednesday, December 24, motorists should expect a weekday lane closure from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Creek Road between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Upper Bank Drive. PennDOT warns that backups and delays are likely, particularly during peak travel periods, and all work remains weather dependent.

The project is part of a broader local safety initiative aimed at improving visibility, pedestrian access, and roadway conditions along a key connector in Delaware County.

Drivers are urged to plan alternate routes or build in extra travel time while crews are active.
