Target Theft Allegation Leads to Charges in Wyomissing

WYOMISSING, PASpring Township Police have charged a 39-year-old woman following an investigation into an alleged retail theft at a local Target store earlier this month.

Police say officers were dispatched to the Target at 2769 Paper Mill Road on November 15 after staff reported that merchandise valued at $285.93 had been taken without payment. Following the initial response, investigators identified Christina Vargas as the suspect.

According to the department, Vargas was later charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. She was arrested on November 20.

All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
