PARKESBURG, PA — Parkesburg Borough Police have charged a 31-year-old local woman in connection with a fraud-related investigation that began earlier this month, authorities announced Sunday.
Police said Rebecca Lee Shaw was taken into custody on November 30 following an inquiry that started on November 21 in the 100 block of West First Avenue. Investigators did not release additional details about the nature of the alleged fraud but confirmed that Shaw faces charges categorized as fraud-related offenses.
A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at District Court 15-3-07, where the case will move forward.
Officials said the investigation remains active and that further information will be released as the case proceeds through the courts. Shaw is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
