WILMINGTON, DE — InterDigital, Inc. (Nasdaq: IDCC) announced it has renewed a multi-year, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-bearing patent license agreement with Seiko Solutions Inc., extending its long-standing relationship with the Japanese technology company.
The renewed agreement covers Seiko Solutions’ cellular products under InterDigital’s portfolio of standard essential patents related to 3G, 4G, and 5G wireless technologies. The deal ensures continued access to InterDigital’s innovations, which underpin a wide range of global communications systems and connected devices.
“This agreement is another example of a license concluded through bilateral negotiation with a long-term InterDigital licensee and provides further confirmation of the value of our innovation to the ecosystem of connected technologies,” said Julia Mattis, Chief Licensing Officer at InterDigital.
InterDigital, a Delaware-based research and development firm, focuses on creating foundational technologies that power wireless communications, video, and artificial intelligence applications. The company’s intellectual property supports devices and services across telecommunications, consumer electronics, automotive, and cloud-based streaming sectors.
