Kennett Square Man Charged in Credit Card Fraud Investigation

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — The Kennett Square Police Department has charged a 65-year-old borough resident in connection with the alleged unauthorized use of another person’s credit card following a summer community event.

According to police, the investigation began on June 22, 2025, when officers were called to investigate a report of a missing or stolen credit card that was believed to have been taken during the Kennett Summerfest event on June 8, 2025.

Through a review of surveillance footage and credit card transaction records, investigators identified Stephen Dunn of Kennett Square as the individual who allegedly used the victim’s card to make several unauthorized purchases totaling approximately $300.

Following the completion of the investigation, a criminal complaint was filed against Dunn on October 12, 2025, in District Court 15-3-04. He has been charged with access device fraud and related offenses. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.

All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
