PHILADELPHIA, PA & SUWANEE, GA — Hisense has introduced Hisense Channels, a new free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service that will deliver more than 200 premium channels to its smart TVs. The rollout begins today on Hisense Google TVs, with additional models to follow.
The service is powered and monetized by Xumo Enterprise, the business-to-business arm of Xumo. Hisense said it selected Xumo for its expertise and track record in the rapidly growing FAST market.
Hisense Channels will be integrated directly into the smart TV’s operating system, allowing viewers to access the service from the homepage without downloading additional apps. At launch, the lineup will include content from Scripps, Radial Entertainment, Stingray, and other publishers.
Executives from both companies emphasized that the partnership combines convenience for viewers with expanded opportunities for content providers and advertisers. Stefan Van Engen, Vice President at Xumo, said the collaboration helps audiences easily discover FAST content while enabling media companies to reach broader markets.
David Gold, President of Hisense USA, called the launch a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to expand accessible entertainment options. “By partnering with Xumo Enterprise, we’re not only expanding the content offerings on our smart TVs, but also reinforcing our commitment to innovation and value,” he said.
The move underscores Hisense’s broader push to enhance its smart TV ecosystem as demand for FAST services accelerates. By embedding Hisense Channels directly into its devices, the company aims to strengthen its value proposition in a competitive connected-TV market.
