WEST GROVE, PA — Families, theatre lovers, and Shakespeare fans alike are invited to enjoy a summer evening of classic entertainment as the ACT Players present A Midsummer Night’s Dream in two open-air performances this August.

The nonprofit theater troupe will stage William Shakespeare’s whimsical comedy on Friday, August 15 at 7:00 PM at the new amphitheater in Penn Township Park, West Grove, and again on Saturday, August 18 at 7:00 PM on the scenic grounds of St. Peter’s in the Great Valley, Malvern.

A tale of romantic entanglements, magical mix-ups, and enchanted creatures, A Midsummer Night’s Dream blends mischief and mistaken identity in a fast-paced narrative that’s both accessible and engaging. The ACT Players’ interpretation promises to appeal to newcomers and seasoned theatergoers alike.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and refreshments to enhance the viewing experience. Each performance runs just under two hours and includes a 15-minute intermission. Admission is free, though donations are welcomed to support future ACT Players productions. Boxed dinners are also available for pre-purchase for the Malvern showing.

Founded in 2004, the ACT Players is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making quality theater accessible to the Chester County community. With offerings ranging from musicals and straight plays to children’s programming and improv, the organization aims to provide a creative platform for performers and audiences of all ages.
