BALTIMORE, MD — Lauren Fleck, Executive Director of Human Resources at Cecil College, has been named one of The Daily Record’s 2025 Leading Women Under 40, an award that highlights young professionals making significant strides in their fields and communities.

The annual recognition honors women aged 40 and under for achievements in their careers, community involvement, and efforts to drive positive change. Honorees were selected by a panel composed of previous winners and a representative from The Daily Record.

“These women are making a remarkable impact at a young age,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “We at The Daily Record are pleased to celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to their future achievements.”

Fleck joins a distinguished group of 50 honorees from across Maryland representing diverse industries including education, government, healthcare, law, nonprofit leadership, and private enterprise. Her selection recognizes both her leadership role at Cecil College and her broader contributions to advancing the region’s workforce and organizational development.

The honorees will be formally recognized at a reception and awards ceremony on August 20 at Gertrude’s Restaurant at the Baltimore Museum of Art. The event begins with networking at 5 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 6 p.m. A special magazine profiling all the recipients will be published on August 21 and available online.

Sponsors of the 2025 Leading Women Under 40 Awards include Bank of America and Executive Alliance.

Fleck’s recognition underscores Cecil College’s continued impact on higher education and its commitment to fostering outstanding leadership within the institution.
