GSK Launches Linked by Lupus Initiative to Advance Care and Support

GSK plc

PHILADELPHIA, PAGSK plc (LSE/NYSE: GSK) has introduced the Linked by Lupus: Optimal Care Initiative, a new program designed to improve the lives of individuals affected by lupus, with an emphasis on systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus nephritis (LN). The initiative aims to enhance early diagnosis, increase access to evidence-based treatments, and strengthen communication between patients and healthcare providers.

GSK has committed up to $1 million in grant funding to support non-profit organizations and community-based groups that work within the lupus space on national, state, or local levels. These grants will back projects that focus on improving the recognition of lupus symptoms, boosting access to treatments, and promoting patient-provider collaboration.

“Too many people living with lupus face delays in diagnosis and disconnects in care,” said Court Horncastle, Senior Vice President at GSK. “With this initiative, we’re proud to support the organizations working within local communities to improve diagnosis, access to optimal care, and connection for those impacted by lupus.”

Eligible organizations are encouraged to submit grant proposals demonstrating innovative, community-led programs aligned with the Linked by Lupus mission. The goal is to foster a sustainable lupus ecosystem that builds a sense of belonging, shared understanding, and mutual support among patients and their care partners.

Applications for funding are being accepted through September 1, 2025. Programs will be reviewed based on their ability to address health inequities within the lupus community and offer scalable, actionable solutions for greater impact. GSK also plans to host regular sessions with stakeholders to share insights and best practices for improving lupus care.
