PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Fishtown District and Evil Genius Beer Company are teaming up to bring the first-ever Fishtown Beer Festival to life, celebrating Philadelphia’s vibrant craft beer community. On Saturday, June 21, 2025, from Noon to 4:00 PM, the 1700 block of Front Street will transform into a dynamic beer-lover’s paradise.
Featuring over 15 of the region’s top breweries and more than 30 specialty beers, the festival will highlight a wide array of styles, from signature classics to rare and innovative creations. Attendees can enjoy sampling beers from local favorites such as Philadelphia Brewing Company, Evil Genius, Meyer’s Brewing Company, and Lost Time Brewing Company, alongside South Philly’s Dock Street Brewing Company and Cartesian Brewing Company, and many more from across and beyond the city.
DJ sets, lawn games, street food, and other surprises will complete the festive block party atmosphere. Attendees can purchase general admission tickets for $45, which include a commemorative glass and access to all beer offerings. Designated driver tickets are available for $10. The event is strictly for guests aged 21 and older.
“Fishtown has always been home to creatives, makers, and beer lovers,” said Evil Genius Co-Founder Trevor Hayward. “This festival feels like a natural next step. We’re thrilled to bring the city’s best breweries together on our block and celebrate the community that’s supported us from the start.”
The festival also reflects Fishtown’s evolution as a national craft beer destination. “This isn’t just a beer fest,” said Evil Genius Co-Founder Luke Bowen. “It’s our love letter to Philly’s brewing scene and to the neighborhood that helped make craft beer in this city what it is today.”
The festival’s beer selections promise something for every palate—from fruit-forward sours like Wissahickon Brewing Company’s Frux PPG and Dock Street’s Raspberry Hibiscus Berliner Weiss, to hop-forward IPAs like Evil Genius’ new Hazy IPA, 867-5309. Lagers and pilsners, such as Urban Village’s Sunny Boy and Dock Street’s Bohemian Pilsner, will also make an appearance.
Food lovers can look forward to Evil Genius’ food tent serving pickle hoagies, walking tacos, pretzels, and other street-food favorites. Meanwhile, Evil Genius’ taproom and beer garden will remain open during the festivities, offering special releases and seasonal brews.
