KENNETT SQUARE, PA — At its Annual Meeting, the United Way of Southern Chester County (UWSCC) revealed the allocation of $650,000 to 31 nonprofit programs serving communities in the Southern Chester County region. This funding aims to address critical issues in education, financial stability, and health, helping residents transition from crisis to independence.
“We are proud to fund programs that are making a difference every day—programs that are on the front lines, helping to build a stronger, more stable community for all,” said Darcie Martin, CEO of United Way of Southern Chester County.
The announcement was delivered in front of an audience that included UWSCC Board members, staff, community members, agency representatives, and members of the Allocations Committee. These funds will support a diverse range of initiatives designed to meet the region’s most pressing needs, combining both immediate assistance and long-term solutions.
The UWSCC employs a rigorous and community-driven allocations process to ensure that donor contributions are directed toward high-impact, effective programs. Martin praised the efforts of their partner organizations and expressed gratitude to the donors and volunteers who make these investments possible.
By empowering local nonprofits, the UWSCC continues to strengthen Southern Chester County and provide meaningful resources to residents in need.
