NEWTOWN, PA — EPAM Systems, Inc. (NYSE: EPAM) has announced a leadership transition set to take effect on September 1, 2025. Arkadiy Dobkin, the company’s Principal Founder, Chairman, CEO, and President, will assume the role of Executive Chairman. Balazs Fejes, currently President of Global Business and Chief Revenue Officer, will succeed Dobkin as CEO and President.
Dobkin, who spent over 30 years building EPAM into a global leader in digital transformation, will continue to play a vital role as Executive Chairman. His focus will be on advancing strategic initiatives, maintaining client and partner relationships, and guiding EPAM’s long-term direction. Reflecting on his tenure, Dobkin stated, “Over the past three decades, EPAM has been the defining project of my professional and personal journey. Today, with over 61,000 professionals across more than 55 countries, EPAM leads digital transformation efforts worldwide and extends its impact into education, sustainability, and humanitarian initiatives.”
Under Dobkin’s leadership, EPAM has achieved several key milestones, including its 2012 IPO, inclusion in the S&P 500 Index in 2021, and sustained global expansion into markets such as North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Most recently, Dobkin guided EPAM’s development in AI-native solutions and helped the company stabilize operations amid geopolitical challenges, positioning it for long-term innovation and growth.
Balazs Fejes, who has been with EPAM for over 20 years, brings extensive experience to his new role. Fejes joined EPAM through its acquisition of Fathom Technology, a Hungarian engineering firm he co-founded, where he served as CTO. Over the years, he has held key positions including President of Europe and APAC Markets, and most recently, Global Business and Chief Revenue Officer. Dobkin commented on the succession, saying Fejes is “uniquely positioned to provide both strategic and operational leadership during our next phase of evolution, and his rare combination of business and technical acumen will enable him to continue driving EPAM forward.”
