January 2, 2024January 1, 2024 - by Maryann Pugh
Uwchlan Township

EXTON, PA — In a bid to foster community involvement and boost local governance, Uwchlan Township is turning to its residents. The township is inviting locals to step up and make a difference in 2024 by volunteering for various positions on its boards and committees.

The call for volunteers comes as part of an ongoing effort by the township to encourage civic participation and offer residents a greater say in shaping their community’s future. The open positions span a variety of areas, including the Environmental Advisory Council, Parks & Recreation Committee, Planning Commission, Municipal Authority, Industrial Development Authority, and Human Relations Committee.

Volunteering offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community, gain new skills, and meet like-minded neighbors. It’s a chance to shape policies, plan events, and guide development in ways that reflect the needs and desires of Uwchlan’s residents.

Interested applicants must be at least 18 years old and proud residents of Uwchlan Township. To apply, individuals are asked to complete an application form and submit a letter of interest through Uwchlan Township’s online application system.

While the roles require a commitment of time and energy, they provide a rewarding way to give back to the community. Volunteers play an integral part in making Uwchlan Township a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work, and play.

By stepping up to volunteer, locals can help ensure that Uwchlan Township remains a place where everyone’s voice is heard, and every resident has a stake in shaping its future.

For any queries regarding the volunteer positions, individuals can contact the township directly at uwchlan@uwchlan.com. Don’t miss this chance to make a positive impact and help shape the future of Uwchlan Township. Apply today!
