ETHOS Treatment Opens a Treatment Center in Wyomissing

ETHOS Treatment LLC

WYOMISSING, PA — ETHOS Treatment LLC opened a new treatment center and outpatient clinic in Wyomissing, which is located at 1150 Berkshire Boulevard,

Wyomissing, PA, will serve adults and adolescents with mental health or substance use issues using the healthcare provider’s proven combination of individual counseling, small group, and family therapy.

Helping Pennsylvania Heal

According to Mental Health America, approximately 1 in 5 adults in Pennsylvania has a diagnosable mental, behavioral, or emotional disorder, other than a developmental or substance use disorder — while 16% of adults in PA have a substance abuse disorder. About 5% of Pennsylvanians have had serious thoughts of suicide

“As people continue to reel from the after-effects of the COVID pandemic and the continuing emotional, economic, and social pressures of our times, the need for licensed, comprehensive and effective help has never been greater,” explains ETHOS Co-Founder & Chief Clinical Officer A. Michael Blanche MSS, LCSW. “Our new location will bring our 100% client-centric care to even more people in need of support.”

Substance Use Disorder Services for Adults

The ETHOS model of individual counseling, small group, and family therapy for the treatment of substance use disorders in adults “maximizes the potential for long-term, sustainable recovery,” says Blanche.

The program helps adults with substance use disorder accept accountability, identify triggers, connect with community resources, use coping strategies to meet challenges, develop recovery capital, become relapse resistant, sustain sobriety, and begin repair of family relationships.

Understanding that each client is unique, ETHOS offers different programs for young adults 18-29, and adults 30+.

Licensed, experienced therapists perform comprehensive evaluations, and provide individual, family, and small group therapy, with a focus on emotional skills building, healthy coping mechanisms, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care.

“The multifaceted ETHOS approach to treatment is highly individualized and relapse resistant,” says Blanche. “We help people find their authentic selves, free from substance use disorder.”

Other Mental Health Issues

The new ETHOS location in Wyomissing will also serve people with clinical depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and mood regulation issues.

Much Needed Help for Teens

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, almost half of adolescents have experienced a mental health disorder, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, substance disorders, or eating disorders.

Research also indicates that 50% of all lifelong mental health illnesses begin by age 14, and that 60% of youth with major depression do not receive mental health treatment.

Unfortunately, while the demand for mental health services for adolescents is high, availability is limited and many teens in need languish on waiting lists. The new ETHOS location in Wyomissing will allow more area youth to get excellent age-appropriate care for mental health issues and substance use disorders.

Though increased access to care is important, caseloads for individual therapists are kept small. “The key to ETHOS’s success has been the standard of manageable caseloads, allowing time for truly individualized care for teens,” says Blanche.

A Client-Focused Model

To keep care focused on what clients need, when they need it, ETHOS maintains a firm separation between the clinical and operational sides of the organization.
