DOWNINGTOWN, PA — NFL Tight End Tyler Kroft will host the 4th annual Tyler Kroft camp on Saturday, July 16th. As Kroft enters his 8th season, the upcoming year will be unlike any other.
With his second child on the way and a recent signing with the San Francisco 49ers, Kroft is making his annual summer visit to his hometown and hosting his youth football camp. He continues to pay it forward to the program that he says kickstarted his career.
As Tyler embarks on another year in the NFL, his family is growing. “Every year I am super excited to return to Downingtown and spend the day with the kids in the community. As my family is growing, every year gets sweeter knowing they will be able to experience this too. I am super grateful to see the outpour of comradery every year at the camp and talk with all the young players.”
As a Downingtown East Cougar, Kroft was the captain of the football team, playing tight end and wide receiver, while taking home the Chesmont Championship three years in a row (2008, 2009, 2010).
Downingtown Head Coach, Michael Matta, reflects on how modest and humble Kroft remains stating, “To take time out of his busy schedule every summer, and travel with his family, to come back to his hometown for the past 4 years and host an event, is all I need to say about the man that Tyler is. Our community is lucky to have the support of this man year after year.”
Kroft’s football career is a unique one, being drafted 85th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft starting with the Cincinnati Bengals (2015-2018), then the Buffalo Bills (2019-2020), then New York Jets (2021-2022), now active with the San Francisco 49ers.
Kroft will be hosting the 4th Tyler Kroft Blue & Gold Youth Football Camp on Saturday, July 16th from 9 am- 12 pm at Downingtown East High School in Exton, PA. Kids from 1st grade to 8th grade are eligible to participate in the camp for free, all participants will get a T-shirt for attending.
