WEST CHESTER, PA — On December 5, 2019, at 8:30 pm, the West Chester Police Department responded to the 50 Block of S. Matlack St for a report of a shot that was fired from a gun.
Through an investigation, it was found that Anthony Berry, 25 years old of West Chester, had an argument with residents in the block and as a result fired a round from a handgun into the air.
A warrant was issued at that time for Berry’s arrest for recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, simple assault and numerous weapons charges.
On January 12, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, the West Chester Police Department received information that Berry was at Appetizers in Coatesville.
Caln Township PD arrested Berry at the establishment and he was transported to the Chester County Prison where he was arraigned and is being held on $40,000 cash bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
