Your Chester County Forecast: What to Expect for the Week Ahead

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — We hope you are having a great weekend! The local forecast for the week ahead looks like it will be a busy one!

High pressure builds in later today into Monday before quickly shifting to our east and northeast. This will allow for temperatures to warm up nicely on Monday. A series of weak low pressure systems then track to our north Tuesday and Wednesday with a weak cold front arriving later Wednesday. The good news is that this system looks fairly dry, so we don’t anticipate too many issues. High pressure should then build to our north Friday and Saturday as a storm system may approach from the west.

Today and Tonight

Chester County residents can expect sunny skies and temperatures in the low to middle 40s today. Today will be sunny, with a high near 43. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Readings are just slightly below normal for December 4th, and tonight’s lows are expected to be mostly in the 20s with good radiating conditions. Tonight is expected to be clear, with a low around 24. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chester County residents should enjoy the sunny and mild weather while it lasts!

Monday through Tuesday Night

Residents can expect a mostly sunny Monday, with a high of 47 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 40% chance of rain late Monday night into Tuesday morning, with new precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Rain is expected Tuesday, mainly after 7 am, with a high near 53 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 90%. Chester County residents can expect Tuesday night to be rainy as well, mainly before 1 am. The low for Tuesday night will be around 46 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible.

Long-Term Chester County Forecast

With more rain in the second half of the week, Chester Countians should prepare for chilly, wet weather. On Wednesday, there is a 40% chance of rain, with mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature of 57 degrees. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy as well, with a low of around 44 degrees and a 30% chance of rain before 1 am.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy as well, with a high of 52 degrees. However, on Thursday night there is a 40% chance of showers, so make sure to have an umbrella handy! The chance of precipitation continues into Friday when there is a 40% chance of showers throughout the day. Partly sunny skies are expected on Saturday, with a high temperature of 44 degrees. Finally, the forecast for Sunday is sunny and clear, with a high temperature of 50 degrees.

So although we can expect some rain this week, it looks like we’ll also have some nice weather to enjoy!
