Winter Weather Advisory: Sleet then Wintry Mix Likely in Chester County

CHESTER COUNTY, PA —  A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Chester County from today, February 13, at 1:00 pm until Sunday, February 14, at 10:00 am, announced the National Weather Service.

Mixed precipitation is expected in Chester County. The forecast is calling for total snow accumulations of less than one inch and ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch.

Difficult travel conditions are possible due to icy roadways, especially Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling.

Detailed Forecast

Today: A chance of snow and sleet before 4 pm, then a chance of sleet. Cloudy, with a high near 26. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.

Tonight: Sleet likely before 1 am, then a chance of freezing rain. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Northeast wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New sleet accumulation of less than a half-inch possible.

Sunday: A slight chance of sleet before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 1 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. North wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain before 10 pm, then a chance of sleet between 10 pm and 4 am, then a chance of freezing rain after 4 am. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Northeast wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no sleet accumulation expected.

Monday: A chance of freezing rain before noon, then a chance of rain or freezing rain between noon and 3 pm, then a chance of rain after 3 pm. Cloudy, with a high near 34. Northeast wind around 5 mph. The chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday Night: A chance of rain before 7 pm, then a chance of rain or freezing rain between 7 pm and 10 pm, then freezing rain and sleet after 10 pm. Low around 31. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Freezing rain and sleet likely before 1 pm, then a chance of rain between 1 pm and 4 pm, then a chance of snow after 4 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Tuesday Night: A chance of snow before 7 pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 31.
