CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The current Winter Storm Watch will remain in effect for Chester County until 10:00 am on Friday, February 19, announced the National Weather Service.
A change to sleet and freezing rain is expected during the afternoon and evening. Light wintry precipitation will likely continue into Friday.
There could be some residual light rain/snow to start Friday evening. Otherwise, plenty of cloud cover should start to clear. The forecast for Saturday anticipates sunny, with a high near 31.
Travel is currently still very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the commute times this evening and on Friday morning.
The National Weather Service is recommending that if you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
