CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The National Weather Service’s winter storm warning remains in effect until 10 am on Tuesday.
Heavy mixed precipitation is expected in Chester County, with additional snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
Periods of snow will continue through early Tuesday. Mixed precipitation will be possible this morning, before precipitation changes back to all snow late this morning into the afternoon.
Today: Snow, possibly mixed with sleet, becoming all snow after 9 am. High near 31. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tonight: Snow. Low around 28. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Tuesday: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 34. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Tuesday Night: A slight chance of snow showers before 1 am. Cloudy, with a low around 25. Northwest wind around 15 mph. The chance of precipitation is 20%.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 34.
