CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Chester County residents can expect a beautiful Sunday ahead of them, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 53°F this morning. However, a cold front extending across the eastern Great Lakes is forecast to pass through Chester County around midday. As the day progresses, high pressure will follow and bring mostly clear skies tonight, with a low of around 30°F.
To begin the work week on Monday, Chester County is expected to remain sunny with a high near 55°F. However, there is a chance of rain after 8 PM so be sure to keep an eye on the weather forecast. Northwest winds of 5-10 mph will prevail throughout the day and can gust as high as 25 mph. Monday night is anticipated to be mostly cloudy with a low of 38°F and west winds of 5-10 mph which will become east after midnight. New precipitation amounts of less than 0.1 inch could be possible during that time frame.
According to the forecast, there is a chance of rain Tuesday before 8 am, followed by a partly sunny day with a high of 48°F. However, it is expected to be windy, with northwest winds tipping the scales at a speed of 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon which may even reach gusts up to 35 mph. The chance of overall precipitation is set at 50%, with potential new amounts less than a tenth of an inch possible. That night will remain largely partly cloudy, with a low of around 28°F and yet more windy conditions.
Wednesday and Thursday will see sunny days with highs near 45 and 47 respectively, accompanied by breezy winds in the day but still chilly nights at around 28 and 27°F. Friday follows this trend with mostly sunny skies but comes with a chance of rain during the night, and Saturday’s forecast even increases those chances of precipitation to 50%. Bring your jackets out as temperatures may drop low enough to warrant extra layers during the evenings, and an umbrella or two won’t hurt either!
