Chester County: Get Ready For Wild Weather Swings In the Week Ahead

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Chester County residents are in for another day of unseasonable warmth and humidity, with low pressure strengthening across the Great Lakes and high pressure offshore. However, relief is on the way.

A cold front will pass through the area overnight, accompanied by showers and thunderstorms before moving offshore early Monday morning. Cooler, drier, and breezy conditions are expected to follow as high pressure moves in later on Monday, bringing a refreshing break from the warm and sticky weather. While the midweek looks promising, another frontal system is anticipated to move in later in the week, bringing with it the return of rising temperatures. Stay informed and be prepared for the ever-shifting weather patterns as we head deeper into summer.

Through Monday

Today’s weather began a bit foggy in some areas this morning with widespread dense fog. However, things will clear up later in the day, and you can expect partly sunny skies with a high near 79. In the afternoon, the wind will be calm but will become south around 5 mph, which should create a pleasant temperature for outdoor activities.

For tonight, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 2 am. Otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of around 55. If you’re out late, watch out for patchy fog between 2 am and 3 am. The southeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph, and the chance of precipitation is 60%. Any new rainfall amounts are likely to be less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday’s weather forecast offers a mix of sunshine and a chance of showers in the morning, making for an unpredictable start to the week. Get ready for a change in the weather from Monday evening through Tuesday night. Monday evening is looking partly cloudy with a low of 45 degrees, and a west wind of 10 to 15 mph. On

Tuesday, brace for gusty winds as well as partly sunny skies, with a breezy west wind of 15 to 20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. Despite the wind chill, temperatures will remain seasonably pleasant with a high of 57 degrees.

Tuesday night turns clear with a low of 39, so don’t forget to bundle up for the chilly night. While there may be some fluctuations between clouds and sunshine, overall this short-term forecast looks beautiful for enjoying the great outdoors in this fall weather.

Wednesday Through Saturday

Looking ahead to the second half of the week, we can expect a mix of weather conditions. Wednesday will start things off with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures, reaching a high of 66 degrees.
