CHESTER COUNTY, PA – It looks like Chester County is in for a wild week weather-wise! According to the MyChesCo Weather Center, high pressure will build into the area today but as a low pressure system develops off the coast, things are going to get interesting. That system will move further off the coast on Monday before a weak low pressure system crosses the region on Tuesday into Tuesday night. Brief high pressure will follow on Wednesday before another system approaches for Thursday. High pressure returns to start next weekend so it looks like we’ll finally get a break!

Weather Through Tonight

Chester County residents can enjoy a pleasant day, with sunny skies blessing the area and temperatures topping out at 41 degrees. While a north wind will start blowing later on, it should be an otherwise clear night – perfect for stargazing! By morning time, the temperature could drop to around 23 degrees.

Monday Through Tuesday Night

As we kick off our week on Monday, the weather will be ideal for outdoor activities with sunny skies and a high near 47. At night the skies will be mostly cloudy, but still comfortable with a low around 31. However, our luck is likely to run out by Tuesday when there’s a chance of rain in the morning hours – luckily it should remain fairly mild until nighttime, when temperatures drop to 40.

Long-Term Forecast for the Week Ahead

Towards the end of the week, we can look forward to a weekend full of breathable air and sunshine. But before the days off arrive, it’s vital to know what Mother Nature has in store for us. Here is a long-term forecast for Wednesday through Saturday.

Starting Wednesday, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 52 degrees. As evening approaches, things will be mostly cloudy with a low of around 35 degrees.

On Thursday, rain is expected mainly after 8 am with a high near 44 degrees and a 90% chance of precipitation. The rain will continue into Thursday night with a low of around 39 degrees and another 90% chance of precipitation.

Friday will bring partly sunny skies with a high near 46 degrees while Friday night temperatures dip to around 30 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Saturday finally brings an end to this wet stretch as mostly sunny skies move in with a high near 45 degrees.

Be sure to have your umbrellas and raincoats ready to go starting Wednesday and into Thursday. Things will start to dry out on Friday but temperatures will dip down, so make sure you have a jacket handy as well. By Saturday, though, things should be back to sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
