U.S. 202 and Several Other State Highways Restricted for Bridge Inspections in Chester County

Traffic Alert

Motorists may encounter lane closures on several state highways in Chester County for bridge inspections, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 202 at the Route 100 Interchange in West Goshen Township;
  • Tuesday, May 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Paoli Pike at U.S. 202 in West Goshen Township;
  • Wednesday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 272 (Christiana Road) between Kirks Mill Road and Hopewell Road in West Nottingham Township; and
  • Thursday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 100 between Pottstown Pike and U.S. 202 in West Whiteland Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. All schedule activities are weather dependent.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.
