The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently announced the scheduled construction activities on state highways across several counties, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery. One of the impacted roads is U.S. 422, with the repairs expected to improve travel conditions and road safety for drivers in the area. Look out for lane closures and plan accordingly if you use the U.S. 422 route when commuting.
The work schedules and locations are:
Bucks County
- Thursday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 611 (Easton Road) between Almshouse Road and Edison Furlong Road in Doylestown Township for bridge inspection.
- Monday, May 8, through Thursday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between the U.S. 1 (Kennett- Oxford Bypass Interchange and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for shoulder cutting.
- Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 10, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled at the westbound Route 3 (West Chester Pike) and Lawrence Road Intersection in Haverford Township for overhead sign inspection.
- Monday, May 8, and Tuesday, May 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Royersford/Trappe Interchange and the Linfield/Limerick interchanges in Limerick Township for guiderail repair;
- Monday, May 8, through Monday, May 22, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Orvilla Road and Vernon Court in Towamencin and Hatfield townships for curb work;
- Wednesday, May 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 73 (Washington Lane) between Church Road and Township Line Road in Cheltenham Township for bridge inspection;
- Saturday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on Fayette Street between Front Street and Elm Street in Conshohocken and West Conshohocken boroughs for bridge inspection;
- Thursday, May 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and the Sanatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township for bridge inspection; and
- Friday, May 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer Boulevard and the Sanatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township for bridge inspection.
