Traffic Alert: Roundabout Construction to Improve Safety on Route 82 in Chester County

five-point intersection roundabout

PennDOT recently announced that construction of a roundabout will proceed on Tuesday, June 6, as part of an effort to increase travel efficiency while improving safety at the Route 82 (Manor Road) Intersection with Cedar Knoll Road and E. Reeceville Road in West Brandywine Township, Chester County.

As of June 6 until October 5, Cedar Knoll Road and E. Reeceville Road will be closed and will have a 24/7 detour when approaching the Route 82 (Manor Road) Intersection. During the detour, drivers will be directed to use Bondsville Road, Horseshoe Pike (U.S. 322), and Hibernia Road for travel.

Additionally, starting from Tuesday, June 6th, through Thursday, October 5th, travel on route 82 (Manor Road) will be disrupted as it reduces to a single lane at the Cedar Knoll Road/E. Reeceville Road Intersection. During this period, traffic will be moderated by a temporary traffic signal as a contingency plan.

To ensure a smooth travel experience, it’s recommended that motorists allow extra time when passing through and near designated work areas, as backups and delays are unavoidable. Note, all planned activities are subject to weather conditions.
