Several State Highways Restricted for Bridge Inspections in Chester County

Lane restrictions are scheduled on several state highways in Chester County for bridge inspections, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Work on these inspections will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage and relevant training.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, June 8, and Wednesday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 100 between the U.S. 30 and U.S. 202 interchanges in West Goshen and West Whiteland townships;
  • Tuesday, June 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 202 between the U.S. 322 and Paoli Pike interchanges in West Goshen Township; and
  • Thursday, June 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Route 113 (West Uwchlan Avenue) and U.S. 30 (Coatesville/Downingtown Bypass) interchanges in Downingtown, East Caln, Valley, Parkesburg townships and City of Coatesville.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
