Route 896 Lane Closures Planned in Chester County

FRANKLIN TWP, PA — Route 896 (New London Road) motorists will encounter a weekday lane closure at the intersection with Scotts Glen Road in Franklin Township, Chester County, on Thursday, May 20, through Thursday, June 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility construction, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather-dependent.

Work on this operation will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan, which will include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the job site, special signage and relevant training.
