The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is set to boost travel safety and reduce high-speed crashes in the Philadelphia region, by installing safety enhancements in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. This will involve line striping, signage and delineator installations along several state highways.
The work schedules and locations are:
Bucks County
- Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic weekday lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) at the intersection with Levittown Parkway in Tullytown Borough; and
- Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic weekday lane closures are scheduled on Route 113 (Souderton Road) between Minsi Trail and Route 313 (Dublin Pike) in Hilltown Township.
- Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic weekday lane closures are scheduled on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) between Black Horse Road and Cedar Lane in West Vincent Township.
- Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic weekday lane closures are scheduled on Earlington Road between U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) and Eagle Road in Haverford Township.
- Monday, May 15, through Friday, May 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic weekday lane closures are scheduled on Route 73 (Church Road) between Route 73 (Cottman Avenue) and Willow Grove Avenue in Cheltenham Township.
It is recommended that drivers add some extra time to their travel when passing through work areas in anticipation of likely backups and delays. It’s also worth noting that all planned activities are subject to weather conditions and therefore subject to change.
Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this $7.5 million project, which is financed with 100% federal funds.
