PECO Utility Improvement Begins Next Week on Route 896 in Penn Township

PENN TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that PECO Energy will begin aerial utility construction next week on Route 896 (Newark Road) in Penn Township, Chester County.

The work schedule and location are:

  • Monday, February 6, through Monday, March 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure including weekends is scheduled on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Powell Lane and Hutchinson Road.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
