PECO to Restrict U.S. Route 1 for Utility Improvements in Chester County

Lane Closures - Traffic Alert

PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on U.S. Route 1 in Chester County for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Wednesday, April 8, through Friday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Kennett Pike and Lenape Road in Kennett Township; and
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) at Old Baltimore Pike in Pennsbury Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
