PECO to Restrict U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Other State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements in Chester County

PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester County for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

  • Monday, April 13, through Thursday, April 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled Mondays through Fridays on eastbound or westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) and Paoli Pike in Tredyffrin Township;
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Lenape Farm Lane and Clarks Lane in Pocopson Township;
  • Monday, April 13, through Friday, April 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Black Rock Road) between Winding River Lane and Riverwalk Drive in Phoenixville Borough;
  • Monday, April 13, through Wednesday, April 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between James Buchanan Drive and Barley Sheaf Road in Caln Township;
  • Monday, April 13, through Wednesday, April 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Hibernia Road and Culbertson Run in the City of Coatesville; and
  • Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Independence Way and Briton Bridge Road in Pennsbury Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
