PECO to Restrict U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Other State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Chester County

Lane Closures - Traffic Alert

PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester Chester for utility construction, announced the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Independence Way and Britons Bridge Road in Pennsbury Township;
  • Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Church Street and 1st Avenue in the City of Coatesville;
  • Monday, February 10, through Saturday, February 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Valley Park Road and Pawlings Road in Schuylkill Township; and
  • Monday, February 10, through Friday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (Doe Run Road) between Crest Place and Strasburg Road in East Fallowfield Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
