PECO to Restrict U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Other Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Chester County

PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Chester County, Pennsylvania for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) T Old Baltimore Pike in Pennsbury Township;
  • Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Lenape Farm Lane and Clarks Lane in Pocopson Township;
  • Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Black Rock Road) between Winding River Lane and Riverwalk Drive in Phoenixville Borough; and
  • Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 841 (Prospect Avenue) between Summit Avenue and Walnut Street in West Grove Borough.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
