Construction Work on Route 29: East Whiteland & Charlestown Townships Brace for Friday the 13th!

Travel Restrictions

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Construction work is scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) in East Whiteland and Charlestown townships, Chester County, as part of a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project to address stormwater management on over 90 state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

On Friday, October 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between Atwater Drive/General Warren Boulevard and the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass for prepping work and utility relocation.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this $14.9 million project, which is financed with 100% state funds.
