Construction Alert: PennDOT Schedules Work on Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia County Highways

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various construction activities are scheduled this week on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Chester County

  • Monday, March 13, and Tuesday, March 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Valley Park Road between Anderson Farm Road and Clothier Springs Road in Schuylkill Township for geotechnical soil borings.

Delaware County

  • Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road) between Euclid Road and the Delaware State line in Upper Chichester and Lower Chichester townships for highway lighting operations; and
  • Wednesday, March 15, through Friday, March 17, a lane closure is scheduled on 9th Street between Baker Street and Highland Avenue in Trainer Borough and City of Chester for milling operations.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, March 13, through Friday, March 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled on Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) between the Highland Avenue and the Susquehanna Road interchanges in Upper Dublin Township for fence installation.

Philadelphia

  • Wednesday, March 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on the northbound I-95 ramp to Callowhill Street for bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
