CHESTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming maintenance activities set to affect various roads in Chester County, urging motorists to prepare for temporary closures and detours. From Tuesday, October 8, through Friday, October 11, Dilworthtown Road will be closed for pipe replacement in Thornbury Township. Additionally, Route 841 (Chesterville Road) will undergo similar maintenance on October 16 and 17, affecting sections between Stricklersville Road and Route 896 in Elk, New London, and Franklin townships. The prescribed detour includes Stricklersville Road, Appleton Road, and Route 896 (New London Road).
