CCFWG and Chester County Women’s Commission to Host Virtual Event Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Voting Rights

WEST CHESTER, PAJoin Chester County Fund for Women and Girls (CCFWG) and the Chester County Women’s Commission on Women’s Equality Day, August 26th, 2020 from 4:30-5:30 pm for a virtual Toast to Tenacity in celebration and honor of 100 years of women’s voting rights.

This event is part of Vision 2020’s national initiative where local groups all over the country will be hosting “Toasts” to celebrate the centennial of women’s suffrage. At our virtual event, speakers from our community will be offering brief remarks about the significant milestone and its relevance today.

Hear about the importance of carrying on the legacy of early suffragists from speakers that include:

  • Kathy Boockvar, Pennsylvania Secretary of State
  • Jahnavi Rao, a Conestoga graduate and President and Founder of New Voters
  • Representatives from the League of Women Voters (LWV) and Black Women of Chester County in Action (BWCCA)

The Women’s Commission will also honor Carol Kuniholm of LWV and Fair Districts PA with its annual SHEro Award. After the “Toast,” attendees will have a chance to network in virtual breakout rooms.
